Just received my order (Meade DS 90 EC w/Autostar, A/C cord, and computer link cord), and put it together same night - am very happy with my order, and your service/prices!!! count me as a soon-to-be repeat customer for all of my future telescope upgrades/add-ons.
Didn't think I would need a carry case for this, but after putting it together, and seeing the size of it assembled, I think I need to look into this option. I looked at your price list, but I didn't see anything especially for this model. what would you recommend, in both a hard case, and a soft case? Is it safe to use a soft case, or is damage likely to occur? (i.e. is the soft case padded to help protect the scope). What are your prices for these 2 options?
Also, which is the better option for lenses - adding a Barlow lens, to be used with the included 25 mm and 9mm lenses, or buying another, higher powered lens? which Barlow would you recommend, and how much is it? Or, if higher powered lens is better, which one, and cost?
Again, thank you for your help...I am VERY pleased I found your web sight!!

The ASGH(Astronomical Society of Greater Hartford),thank you & your wife for display of your products. As you told me "It passed my expectations" and that was appreciated. Our small space is a problem but I was seeing another sort of gaudy T-shirt and meteorite vendors that I felt were a distraction to the job of true astronomy as your display is not. Thank you very much for your high quality.. Ed DeFreitas

I received the binoculars today, (Bushnell 23-1042wp), in apparent good condition, and your service was exactly what you promised. Refreshing in this day when so many people assume the "hand out flat" position and have done nothing to deserve being paid.
Thank-you,

Fred,

Just a quick note. The C-11 OTA arrived in Florida last week as promised. I had a chance to use it both Saturday and Sunday evenings. It's mounted on a GM-8 and it's quite stable. I had reasonable seeing (7-8) and I must say I am not disappointed in the optical quality; almost no spherical aberration and the collimation adjustment is positive and smooth.

Just thought I would let know of my pleasure and I will certainly keep you in mind in the future.

Had to let you know how much I appreciate your excellent service. I ordered several items
Wednesday 8/30/2000 (Meade 7288, 7283, 7067) by phone, and to my suprise a shipment arrived
today, Friday, just about two days to the hour! I read your note on the receipt concerning the
missing filter #1A ("To Follow ASAP"), two out of three isn't bad. Now if we could just get a clear night...

Thanks and good seeing.

Subject: Satisfied Customer

I recently purchased a Celestron CM-1400 from Astroptx, and I find I had to write to comment on my experience.

After considerable research, I could not find lower prices. When I called to order, I asked for advice
(which I took) regarding an additional eyepiece, and obtained friendly answers to my questions.
The shipment arrived earlier than expected, intact, and with no damage at all. I found that my questions
had been answered accurately, and that the eyepiece I was advised to purchase was right on target.

When I originally called, I was interested in a computer accessory for locating objects, but was advised against
that purchase because a more comprehensive model was due within a few months.
That was a first: being advised AGAINST purchasing an item by a salesperson. All the other stores I had
contacted didn't mention the potential disappointment down the road when the new model came out.
Instead, they were all simply interested in a one-time high priced sale, attempting to take advantage of any
lack of knowledge. These are the types of salespeople that are never around for very long and aren't
interested at all in long-term customer satisfaction and loyalty. UNLIKE the people at Atroptx.

In this world of high-pressure sales people who rarely know anything about what they are selling, it's a
welcome relief to find a company who realizes the best way to retain customers is to help them make informed
purchasing decisions without making them feel stupid for asking questions, especially in a market that requires
a great deal of self-education.

When I recently called to get more information regarding more filter and eyepiece accessires, the experience
was repeated.

What else can I say but THANKS!

Hi.
I have received my telescope yesterday. I must say that I give an A+ service. Although I called you so many
times and changed my order / delivery location / telescope type and asked so many questions you, still
gave me all the answers in a great "customer attitude". And not mention the prices! No one can even
compete with you nevertheless beat you with your low prices. Although I live more than 7,000 miles
away, I'm sure I'll keep buying from you in the future.

Thank you very much and keep up the good work.

Yuval,
Israel.
P.S. You may leave my name and country if you wish to publish this email.

Fred,

Today, I received the baggage, and the scope is working very fine. I'm really satisfied with this scope.

Before I placed an order, I had been so much wondered since I did not have any experience on buying
such an expensive goods from foreign country. But all the your sooner reply to my any answers are
helpfull very well and in timely manner. So that I could make a decision to place an order to you.

I think you are the most reliable distributer in USA for foreign people such as me.

I'll introduce you to my friends in Japan via Internet mailing list today.

Again, thank you so much.
(Waiting for your secure server!)

By the way, one of my friend wants to buy SBIG's new CCD camera, ST9E. Please let me know
wheather you are carrying SBIG's products or not, and also you can ship it to Japan or not.

Regards,
Junji SUZUKI
